Welcome back to Witch’s Brew Wednesday,,, and today I’m summoning the witches of this community (& if you don’t consider yourself a part of this community I extend my warm beanbags for your sitting pleasure) so that we can explore your Zodiac sign and how you can incorporate sustainable practices into your own sacred practice !!

Side note:: If you hadn’t noticed (bonus points if you did), I didn’t post my usual Sunday Muse blog last Sunday🤕. Sad faces all around, I know this is devastating news lol. Don’t beat yourself up though, because I will be resuming Sunday Muse blogs starting—you guessed it— this Sunday !!

To be honest, I didn’t post because of some familial quarreling, but I’m not going to bore you guys with any oddly specific goings-ons of my life (SOOO boring, I know), so let’s board a figurative spaceship and trace the edge of the universe !!

Pinterest collages, Canva Pro, and digital junk journals. Aquariuses (Aquari-iy ?? Aquarians ?? I’m just going to call y’all Aquarians lol) should keep their magic on a laptop, tablet, or phone, which not only allows you to save paper but to easily update and organize your digital grimoire everytime you feel the tug of the Universe or a new spell recipe pops into your head.

Pisces are big on cycles, both sleep and life, so I suggest placing lavender under your pillow, maybe performing a spell to help you sleep deeper and remember your dreams (with some of the lavender), and then compost the lavender to complete its life cycle.

Using a reusable jar (DUH, what blog do you think this is ?!), fill it to the brim with whatever kind of water floats your boat, even Dasani (no Dasani hate around here) ! Hint hint:: you can even add salt to it for some extra muscled purification !! 🌝✨

Anywho, set it out under a full moon, charge that bad boy up, and et voila !! You now have a versatile crumb of the Universe at your side ! You can use this moonwater to cleanse your crystals, add it to a spray bottle to bless your home, or even dump it into a soothing bath to recharge your spirit.

LEO (July 22 – August 22) 🔥

Ouch, you burned me with your fiery awesomeness ! How dare you be so confident and passionate & brimming with the sun’s energy ?! You know, I think I have something for you:: a solar-powered crystal charging station !! Try to say that five times fast lol.

Anywho, Leos are so radiant that their energy, stemming from the sun, is enough to power the lot of their crystals (which I know you have because Leos love to maximize their energy). So if you’re a Leo, grab a notepad and start taking notes !!

First, grab an old mirror (preferably handheld) that you no longer use. This will help reflect the sun’s beams with a powerful blaze of pure energy ! Then, and this is the hard part, place your crystals on the mirror (carefully, now !) and let them soak up the sun’s rays. The hardest part I suppose would be finding a windowsill large enough to set a small mirror on. Otherwise, you’re all set.

As you Virgos are very detail-oriented and enjoy exploring the depths of your micromanaging abilities, handpicking your herbs means you get to curate your own special tea blend. Imagine that !!

No, like seriously !! Allow me to set the scene::…

Imagine you’re running some errands, perhaps to Cheesecake Factory (essentials only), and in your hand you’re holding a warm, steaming mug brimming with your own specially crafted blend of tea from the herbs you pressed and dried yourself. And WELCOME BACK to the “Dreamcatcher ? What Does GROVE Mean Dreamcatcher ??” show, where we discuss, you guessed it, what I mean by dreamcatcher and how to make your own (& how can you make it zero-waste) !!

First, gather your materials. Honestly, you can use whatever you like, but here are some traditional decorations:: upcycled fabric, feathers, thick wire, and beads. With these knick knacks in your hand, you’re going to *word that rhymes with hand (Girl Scout camp songs, anyone ?? 👀).

Anywho, once you craft your perfect dreamcatcher, imbue it with the intent to filter out negative dreams and instead invite peaceful dreams, spellbindingly protecting your dreams and being eco-friendly while doing it !!

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21) 🌊

Howdy dowdy, Scorpios (fellow water sign 😋), go ahead and sit down and put hold your shoes. No particular reason, just making sure your socks don’t fly off because of this amazingly sustainable witch project 😂.

Are you ready ?? No ?! Okay, that’s fine I’ll give you a second… Gotta stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready, you know ? Alright, are you ready now ?? (*exasperated sigh)

Okay, cool ! Drumroll, pleaseee ? I present to you:: A BLACK SALT REGENERATION RITUAL !!! I know, I know, please, no paparazzi. Stahppp !!

Anywho, to elaborate further, I hear Scorpios are very emotional and determined creatures (same, bro, same), so you must have tons of pent up emotions aching for release and the chance to be transformed into good vibes in your life.

“But GROVE, how do I accomplish this ??”

I’ll release my knowledge to you, young Shroober♥️, but you must promise me one thing:: have fun and be chaotic about it !! Try not to take it too seriously, because if there’s one thing worse than releasing pent up emotions, it’s stressing yourself out over releasing stressful emotions. But, as always, take my advice with a grain of rice or whatever 🤕.

First, gather all your “dark” magic elements, AKA kitchen waste, such as coffee grounds, pepper, ashes, salt (DUH), literally anything that speaks to your inner self, you know ?

Now mix all of these elements together (in a mortar & pestle if you have one. I’ve always wanted one 🤕) and keep it in a recyclable jar. Now you can sprinkle it at doorways (to ward off bad vibes, ofc), drop a pinch in the tub for a shadow work soak, or even bury the jar in the ground as compost (literally completing the life cycle by returning it directly to the Earth). Make sure your ingredients are Earth-friendly, though, lol.

This ritual is cyclical and practical, everything a Scorpio needs.

Jumping right in, here’s the deal. You’re always yearning for a more travel-friendly life that can move as fast as your mind does, so I had the perfect idea as to what might satisfy your lust for everlasting freedom:: TRAVEL ALTARS !!

If you don’t have an altar, simply don’t worship/work with any deities, you can still participate if you want. Altars can be personal, like your own little piece of you that you can carry with you everywhere. You can take it as a sign from your deities or simply your subconscious pulling at the sleeve of your sweater begging to be perceived.

Anywho, how would you make this sustainable ?? I have just the thing ☝🏾 ! Altoid tins, small pouches, even a repurposed sewing kit can be transformed into a house for your sacred space. Now comes the easy part; add your own special objects and touches to honor the object of your altar.

This is your altar, so feel free to go absolutely wild on that last step ! 🥰

“Now what is that ?” you may ask. To put it as simply as humanly possible, throw a pinch of salt in your shoes and call that Grounded Luck.
