I mean, like, hello ?! You mean to tell me that a cheap, see-through as 1-ply toilet paper, pollution-contributing $10 shirt is worth more than a handmade piece made for you, by you ?! THAT SHIRT COULD NEVERRR ! You’re way too cool !

Okie, that’s enough ! Anywho, bell sleeves can be the cornerstone of your whimsigoth wardrobe, made better by their impressive range, making them a perfect fit for anyone’s closet ! Bell sleeves can be made from a variety of materials, such as velvet, satin, and even yarn. I personally prefer to crochet or knit my own sleeves, but feel free to customize your wardrobe as you see fit 😀
When sourced from repurposed fabrics, bell sleeves not only evoke that mysterious, gothic allure, but also minimizes waste. Look for materials that capture that dramatic desire to wistfully sigh in a field surrounded by nature and rolling hills. If you can’t smell the roses, it ain’t whimsy enough !!

TATTERED SHRUGGIES
Shruggies, AKA boleros, AKA the Holy Grail, offer both warmth and flexibility. Speaking of bell sleeves, shruggies are the perfect project to add them to ! To be honest, shruggies are near-impossible to mess up. They’re so easy to make, and are the perfect accessory for every season. So in the summer when you’re craving the mystical, witchy garments without wanting to die of heat stroke, shruggies are the perfect happy medium.
Shruggies can be made of upcycled fabrics or from an old t-shirt, but I most commonly see them crocheted. There’s a variety of free patterns and resources to choose from on platforms such as Youtube or Ravelry, but let me know down below if I should post a tutorial !!

Transforming tablecloths into garments such as skirts, tops, and bell sleeves (:D) not only allows you to customize your mystical aesthetic to your liking, it also reduces your environmental footprint.
You can find tablecloths to repurpose at your local thrift store (Goodwill, I’m looking at you ;P) and equip yourself with all your upcycling knowledge to handcraft your own personal whimsigoth wardrobe !
